Jessie Lazar

New York Potter / Founder Sullivan Public

After making, selling and teaching ceramics in my home town of NYC for over a decade our family have ventured to live upstate in the Western Catskills. We have fallen in love with this beautiful area and the special creative community here in the woods. Sullivan Public is a new hub that aims to house our growing vibrant community. To lend space to share, learn, gather and play.

I love working in clay. I love that ceramics are made of the most humble, malleable materials and simultaneously, the most enduring testaments to the history of civilization.
I studied critical theory and art at Bard College. I am so grateful to love what I do. I am honored to build and share this space.

Kristen Texeira

Artist

I paint to remember. Through subtle shifts in colors or ranges of contrasting colors, I attempt to create something familiar, and—at the same time—something entirely elusive and intangible, like a forgotten word on the tip of one's tongue. My colors blend and bounce off of each other. They tell of a person or place's ambiguous history. This vagueness is complemented by specifics in my writing, which—while focusing on a moment's singular identity and tender details—leaves much to the viewers' interpretation.

Adrienne Hloderwski

Teacher / Artist

Ms. Adrienne has earned an almost mythical status among local families (and in her former Brooklyn community). She is an awe-inspiring, uniquely talented, multi-skilled artist and much-in-demand teacher. Children are instantly enchanted and inspired. Currently a Montessori teacher, Adrienne’s personal work explores 3D mediums like ceramics, fibers and stained glass.

Margo Seibert

Actress, Singer + Teacher

Margo is a Drama Desk winning and Drama League nominated actress who originated roles on and off-Broadway for Alex Timbers, Dave Malloy, Rachel Chavkin, and Ahrens & Flaherty. After years in the city mimicking her favorite singers and finding little success, she began her work with Marisa Michelson and discovered tools to unleash her authentic voice. She now uses her decades of experience as a performer to help others do the same.
